are in a good central location for exploring Bronte country and the
dramatic moorland scenery of Pennine Yorkshire.The
Yorkshire Dales and major tourist attractions of Bradford, Leeds, Manchester
and York are within easy travelling distance.Pets

will find the whole garden adventurous, with rope swings and rocks to
climb. There is direct access from both cottages to the large two acre
garden, with pond, trees and heather banks. There are many good pubs
and restaurants in the local area, some within walking distance. Cherry
Tree House and Cottages are located in a quiet rural Calderdale village,
in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines, close to Halifax. We are ideally
situated for exploring Bronte Country and the historic towns and moorland
scenery of the South Pennines, recently recognised as a Heritage Area
of special landscape value. The Yorkshire Dales and major tourist attractions
of Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and York are within easy travelling distance.Both
cottages are annually inspected by the English Tourist Board and have
been awarded a 4 stars Highly Commended grading.A
full central heating system is installed in each cottage with instant
hot water for bath or shower. In addition, there is a flame-effect gas
fire in the lounge area.Laundry and drying facilities are available
in Cherry Tree House, and Cherry Tree Cottage. Heather Bank Cottage
- Sleeps 2 - 4. This one-bedroomed cottage has been recently converted
from a 19th Century stone barn, retaining the natural stone walls and
mullions. Heather Bank cottage has a quiet outlook over extensive
woodland / heather garden and the surrounding countryside. The ground
floor comprises entrance hall, well-appointed separate bathroom, and
twin-bedded room with beamed ceiling. The
entire first floor is open plan, featuring a high timber-clad ceiling,
with dining area, lounge and well-equipped kitchen. A
high quality sofa bed provides additional sleeping accommodation upstairs.
Cherry Tree Cottage - Sleeps 4. This two-bedroomed 19th century stone
cottage has been recently renovated to retain the original features.
All rooms are South facing, with extensive views over the Black Brook
valley and Pennine Countryside. The ground floor comprises fully equipped
entrance kitchen with oak units and breakfast bar. The separate lounge/dining
room retains the old stone fireplace and exposed beams. A
traditional enclosed staircase provides access to the first floor. There
are two separate bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with king-sized
pine tiered bunk beds. There
is a well-appointed bathroom, with feature timber ceiling.
